PROMAC is now positioned as one of world's largest used tyre suppliers - we can assist with your tyre strategy. With new radial tyres still in very short supply and some sizes (37.00R57 for example) almost impossible to obtain, many companies are now including used tyres as part of their overall tyre strategy. Whilst used radials cannot completely replace new rubber, they are providing a cost-effective interim solution. Following an extended period of research and relationship building, PROMAC has secured access to some of the largest global stocks of used radial OTR tyres. We have now begun to supply these tyres in very large quantities to clients across the world. The key to successfully using used tyres is an intensive & stringent quality-control and assessment process, to ensure only the premium tyres are selected. Every tyre is individually inspected inside & out to determine the extent of any damage. Certain injuries will see the tyre rejected immediately - for example belt package corrosion, body cord damage or exposure of bead steel will exclude the tyre regardless of the amount of tread remaining. Typically, we are selecting tyres with 50mm RTD +/- 10mm depending on the quality of the tyre. PROMAC cherry-picks and we make no bones about it - on average we approve and select only 4% of the tyres we examine. By selecting only the best tyres, we are providing our clients with an opportunity to retread the casings, further extending the tyre life and increasing their profitability. We can also assess tyres using customised client criteria - if your company would like to define the parameters you are willing to accept, PROMAC can inspect and source tyres to meet your needs. In many instances, we take a representative from our client on our visits to enable them to see the tyres firsthand. The tyres are usually delivered unrepaired. However, where requested by clients, PROMAC is also able to work with experienced tyres specialists who will carry out any required repairs. Alternatively, your preferred local supplier can undertake the repairs. Typically, tyres are sold ex-works but our service can also extend to the importation and delivery of the tyres if your company requires CIF terms. PROMAC is AQIS approved for the importation of used tyres into Australia and we have a network of experienced suppliers who provide cleaning, inspection, storage and freight services. These additional services are provided to our clients at cost. For further information, please contact PROMAC on 6274-2746 and take advantage of the benefits offered by quality used tyres. 'Tyred' of waiting ...
Radial OTR tyres coming to Australia Following an extended overseas visit, PROMAC are pleased to announce that they have secured a large volume of radial dump truck tyres, from sizes 27.00R49 upwards. Speaking about the deal, PROMAC’s representative remarked that “… significant price inflation and supply shortages have caused a massive headache for the Australian resources sector and related industries. Anybody who has tried to purchase large OTR tyres recently will recount stories of broken promises and obscene prices. Securing these radial tyres gives us [PROMAC] an opportunity to supply local companies with quality products at reasonable prices and to cement our position as one of the largest distributors of OTR tyres in Australia”. Each batch of tyres has been individually inspected to ensure that any which cannot sustain repairs are weeded-out and rejected. Repairs to the tyres are being carried out by a leading repairer/retreader who has more than 25 years experience with OTR tyres. Ranging in sizes from 27.00R49 to 40.00R57 PROMAC expects to begin delivery of the tyres during June 2006. One customer, a major civil and mining contractor, has ordered a significant number for their fleet of CAT 777 dump trucks, recognising that the supply situation is “…not expected to improve until at least 2008…” [Source: Bridgestone]. Interested parties should contact Andrew McAdam (0403-909898) for further information.Expanding rental fleet
