PROMAC gathers, utilises, stores and re-analyses information as part of our business process. In order for our company to function, we need to engage our customers (and their customers) using personally identifiable information. Customer Information GatheringPROMAC gathers personally identifiable information through online forms, newsletter subscriptions and customer lists. Utlising DataPROMAC distributes email newsletters using customer database systems for the majority of our customer base. We maintain only lists which are approved by each customer to begin with. On every email is a facility to be removed from the database at any time. PROMAC researches statuatory obligations under the Australian Anti-Spam legislation introduced at the begininning of 2004. PROMAC also records information from its own website by tracking identifiable information such as IP Address, Browser Type, Length of Stay, Country of Origin. We have form elements which record contact information. This information is stored online in our secure database platform. StorageOur data servers which host customer information are secured using modern database and server technology. PROMAC will on occasion run logs and tests on incoming data to confirm that the data gathering systems are functioning correctly. Providing Data to External SourcesPROMAC does not provide any personally identifiable information regarding our associates, or directory memebrs, or form applicants. Any applicant information recorded in our online forms is not available to external sources. PROMAC does not provide personally identifiable information to external sources without the expressed permission of the person themselves. We may employ contractors to assist the building and maintenance of the customer database itself. All contracted persons to PROMAC are made aware of the nature of our Privacy Policy and they are asked to abide by it. |
